Myanmar Journalism Institute

I worked as a head workshop instructor for film/video journalism at the Myanmar Journalism Institute (MJI)in Rangoon – for both full time and part time journalism diploma courses, which were operated by MJI and DW Akademie during more hopeful times, in 2016-2017.

Since the 2021 Military Coup, Burma has been considered the most dangerous place in the world for journalists. I was aware becoming a journalist there required a lot of courage by the students and future journalists, but not by how much.
